Anti-squat property again

It has now been just under a month since we moved to our new location at Christinastraat 2A! Squatting again, an old school building again. The third old school building we had already occupied.

We started at Maasstraat 105 in Acht. In this old school building, we had the freedom to furnish virtually the entire building, and that is exactly what we did. With our own campsite, sensory de-stressing room, and later even our own library.

After that, we moved on to Otto Veniusweg 43. Another old school building, this time in Strijp. We had learned from our previous location not to furnish everything (because, well, it’s a squat, and where do you put all those things once you have to move out?!). But once again, we liked the location and made beautiful memories there.

And so now we are at Christinastraat 2A. Squatting. Although it is far from ideal, it fits our organization very well. You have the freedom, the space, and can do what you want within the rules. An old, sometimes slightly abandoned building, works wonders for your creativity. Some hate it, others love it.

Our organization belongs to that last group. Once again, we are well settled in our new (temporary) spot. The participants like it too; there is room to implement all kinds of fun ideas.

It may remain temporary, but it is precisely that temporary nature that makes it valuable. Every place brings new energy, new ideas, and new memories. For now, we continue building here, step by step, with everything we have and with everyone who feels at home here. And who knows where the next place will take us.
